Delightfully Absurd!

The Grand Scheme of Things - Ian Strang

This book was delightfully absurd. Brilliant nonsense! Silly and comedic without being redundant, that's what I say.

The Mark of Noba

The Mark of Noba (The Sterling Wayfairer Series) (Volume 1) - G.L. Tomas

I love and support the Twinjas mission to bring multiculturalism to the genre. I liked the story, and it was an easy read. I think that because it was written from Sterling's perspective (and later Tetra's), it made it difficult to thoroughly enjoy. That might be more a matter of preference, though.

Well-Written, Rich in History, and a Fierce Female - Excellence!

Ghost (The Plagued Trilogy) (Volume 2) - Kari Nichols

I received this and the first book of the trilogy free in exchange for an honest review.

I wasn't nearly as impressed with the first in the series, Rogue, as I was with this 2nd book. The first book had an abundance of romance, and for me it was too much. That's not a reflection of the quality of the writing or of the intent of the author, however. So, I didn't rate or review based on my own preferences. That being said, this 2nd book was quite the treat! Rich in its historical element, I never felt like the story was dragging on or focusing too much on one thing or another. It flowed easily, but was never predictable. I love to see/read about fierce and capable women, and Caterina fit that bill. I look forward to book #3!

Leven Thumps and the Gateway to Foo, Leven Thumps and the Whispered Secret - Obert Skye, Ben Sowards

Leven Thumps and the Gateway to Foo by Obert Skye My rating: 4 of 5 stars I enjoyed this first in the series very much. Two decent kids in bad situations find themselves meeting impossible creatures, and they get into all kinds of trouble along the way. But you know they\'ll be ok in the end, even if they don\'t always think so. I have the 2nd book, and look forward to seeing what adventures these interesting characters get into. Rogue by Kari Nichols

Rogue (Plagued Trilogy, #1) - Kari Nichols

For its genre, I'd say this first in the series was quite good. If you love romance of the fantastical kind, you'll enjoy it. I have to admit, I was drawn in by the cover art for this series. I'm anxious to see where that ending leads.
